The Hopi and Mayan elders do not prophesy that everything will come to an end. Rather, this is a time of transition from one World Age into another. The message they give concerns our making a choice of how we enter the future ahead. Our moving through with either resistance or acceptance will determine whether the transition will happen with cataclysmic changes or gradual peace and tranquility. The same theme can be found reflected in the prophecies of many other Native American visionaries from Black Elk to Sun Bear." - Joseph Robert Jochmans

DADDY'S GIRL

After a day at a conference:

Women have given their power away to men for far too long. Gender equity is not evident in the course of daily living. Women give men the right to guide them in all forms of activity from health, to education, business, culture, politics and religion. Yet, most of what men know comes from their relationships with women.

Why are men the forgers of the future? Only one reason persists. Women allow them to be. We must learn to work together, but it is the responsibility of women to be sought out for their wisdom and expertise.

My idea of sitting for 7 hours and listening to a man talk about his spouse, family, business, religious beliefs and political views is not a waste of time but an infringement upon my time. This speaker was born in 1965, the same year as my daughter, my youngest child. Taking seven hours to bring me to the “why” of my existence for $37 (the cost of an expensive lunch) and then pitch a year-long program with books, tapes and DVDs that I must spend time reading, listening to and watching for the conference price of only $997 is not only irresponsible but downright unforgiveable.

My idea of a Women’s Prosperity Network is women doing serious business with women and men, not listening to men lecture about their businesses and drawing me into investing in them and their ideas, especially when I am not feeling that they will use my business services.

Money is energy given and received to have or experience objects and events. One million dollars is the threshold of success for many and, certainly, most large projects require large outputs of money. This is indisputable. But the measure of a person is not in how much money they have laid up but in how they use their personal power to enhance their existence and that of others.

I don’t believe it is others we live for. I believe we are here to experience personal power. If it is projecting ideas onto a canvas, instrument, blackboard, stove, billboard, computer screen, in a book, an athletic activity or some other form of self-expression, it is exhibiting personal power that is a manifestation of the larger creation.

Paying “coaches” to guide you to your personal power, your “why” is a waste of time, if the payment precludes the purpose. No matter how many schools, courses, lectures or lessons you attend, you must find your purpose within yourself, on your own. Coaches and guides are escorts to the threshold of your understanding of your existence. You make the journey alone. No one affirms your purpose. They offer the uniform, course material, equipment and mantra to use, but they cannot use them for you.

Therefore, in knowing that it is YOU that you are working toward, it behooves you to refrain from networks of people who consider these methods concrete and relatable to all. They are not.

"I had no idea that these women existed. In history and in art -- for instance, in the stone reliefs of the Persian Archaemedians -- there is no indication that women have any particular status. In fact, women are sort of invisible, because history is always written by men." - Davis-Kimball
